This policy applies to the Reveal Outdoors seller connection for eBay and ChatGPT. It supplements our store privacy policy.
This private Reveal Outdoors integration connects an authorized eBay seller account to tools in ChatGPT.
Information stored
The application stores the current ChatGPT user's site-specific identifier, eBay application credentials, authorization tokens, seller username, a hash of the seller's eBay account identifier, and connection timestamps. Application credentials and tokens are encrypted before storage. Short-lived authorization state is stored to validate the account connection.
How information is used
Credentials and tokens are used to authorize requests to eBay. Listing and business-policy data are retrieved when you request them and returned to ChatGPT. This application does not persist a copy of your listings or orders. Listing changes are sent to eBay only through the corresponding tools when invoked.
Account deletion notifications
A separate public endpoint receives eBay account-deletion notifications and relays them to this private application. The application verifies eBay's signature before acting. A matching notice removes the seller identifier, account identifier hash, user authorization tokens, connection timestamps, and outstanding authorization state. Developer application keys are retained to verify future notifications. Notification payloads are not saved in the application database.
Hosting and access
The application uses OpenAI Sites and its managed hosting infrastructure. Access to account connections is restricted by the private site's sharing settings, and saved connections are separated by authenticated user. Information returned to ChatGPT is subject to your ChatGPT account's data settings. This policy and the notification receiver are publicly accessible.
Disconnecting
“Disconnect and erase saved keys” removes the connection credentials, tokens, seller identifiers, timestamps and outstanding authorization state from the application's active database. This does not erase information already returned in chat or infrastructure backups. To revoke the application's authorization at eBay, use your eBay account's third-party application access settings.
