Brownells Aluma-Hyde II Epoxy Aerosol Finish – 12 oz

Brownells Aluma-Hyde II is an epoxy-based aerosol coating for refinishing properly prepared aluminum, steel, and plastic surfaces, including synthetic stocks. Once fully cured, it provides a durable, abrasion-resistant finish with resistance to many bore cleaners and cleaning solvents. Aggressive copper-removing solvents may damage the coating.

Preparation and Curing

Clean and degrease thoroughly; remove rust and loose paint. Test adhesion and color compatibility. Follow the can’s preparation and application instructions.

Dries to a light touch in approximately 10–15 minutes. Allow at least 24 hours before extensive handling. Dry to the touch does not mean fully cured; curing varies with coating thickness, temperature, and humidity. Apply additional coats within 30 minutes. After that window, allow 10–14 days of curing before recoating.

Clean-Out Nozzles

Clean-out nozzles help clear the pickup tube. Reinstall the standard spray nozzle before applying the finish; clean-out nozzles are not intended for finish spraying.
